Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Two subway security guards are dead and all signs point to someone on Team Arrow as the killer on this week’s Arrow. Dinah and Officer Pollard begin by interrogating Oliver, who sets up the scenario. The team went to the subway to stop the 9th Circle from deploying the stolen bio-weapon in the subway and killing thousands.

Olicity’s Story

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Oliver tells Dinah that Felicity determined that the 9th Circle couldn’t deploy the weapon without a dispersal device, which can only be found in one place in the city. Oliver and Diggle approach Aerodyne CEO Jason Toth about the company being the potential target of terrorists and offer to beef up security. Toth turns them away. Felicity digs into Toth’s file and discovers that he has been selling to the 9th Circle. If they want to stop the 9th Circle from buying the device, they need to call in someone with a particular set of skills.

Everyone is happy to have Roy back. He is unknown to Emiko and can infiltrate Aerodyne and stop the 9th Circle from taking possession of the device. Roy arrives too late. Emiko takes the device and escapes while Roy is stuck fighting Virgil and 9th Circle assassins.

Roy’s Story

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Roy explains that after missing Emiko at Aerodyne, Felicity determined that there were two potential spots in the subway line where the 9th Circle might deploy the weapon for maximum damage. The team split up, with Roy accompanying Felicity to the control room to shut down the subway’s ventilation system. Roy left Felicity to patrol for 9th Circle assassins and was jumped. Roy says he was knocked out before the security guards discharged their weapons.

Diggle’s Story

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Diggle has one of the guards’s blood on his sleeve. He says that he and Rene went to the ventilation shaft. There, they found Emiko. Rene pursued her while Diggle looked for the device. Running through the halls, Diggle came upon the unconscious Roy. Then, he heard the guards fire their weapons. Diggle responded to the scene where the guards were already dead. Rene was standing over them.

Rene’s Story

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Rene chased after Emiko, who shot him in the hand and ran away. When Rene heard the shots fired, he ran to the source. When he got there, the guards were already dead. Oliver was with them, having beaten Rene to the scene.

Oliver, Again

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Oliver is called back in for questioning. He tells Dinah and Pollard how he single-handedly found and disarmed the device while fighting off a group of 9th Circle assassins. When he heard the gunshots, he ran to the guards and found them dead, with Emiko having been the one who killed them. With Emiko identified as the killer, Team Arrow walks away, in spite of Pollard’s hunch that they’re still covering up something.

What Really Happened

Arrow Season 7 Episode 20 Recap

Dinah went to the subway with Team Arrow. She fought alongside Oliver against the assassins. Roy was never knocked out. He was beaten, but followed his attacker down the hall, where he was stopped by the guards. When one grabbed him, Roy snapped and beat them to death. The team collectively agreed to cover it up, in spite of the ethical issues involved in doing so.

Back at the bunker, Oliver recognizes Roy’s bloodlust as a byproduct of being resurrected in a Lazarus Pit. Roy says he thought that he had it under control with Thea and Nyssa’s help, but clearly that’s not the case. Meanwhile, Felicity identifies Emiko entering an abandoned building just outside of town. Before the team moves out to confront her, Felicity thanks Dinah for wiping the security footage of what happened at the subway station. Dinah says it wasn’t her, she thought Felicity had removed the footage.

At the abandoned building, Emiko separates Oliver from the group. She tells him that right now, the SCPD is receiving the security footage from the subway, which will prove that Dinah and Team Arrow are involved in the cover up. When asked why she’s doing this, Emiko admits that she wants Oliver to suffer and die, that he’s a villain, just like their father. Emiko tells Oliver that she knew the Queen’s Gambit was rigged to explode and could have stopped it but didn’t. She blows up the building, trapping Oliver in the rubble.

New Parabellum clip features John Wick seeking guidance

Lionsgate has released a new John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum clip, featuring John Wick seeking guidance from Halle Berry’s Sofia. Check out the clip now in the player below!

The eponymous John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run in Parabellum for two reasons. One, he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and two, for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. In this case, a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston (Ian McShane), has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s ‘Excommunicado’ – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

Halle Berry, Angelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, and Jason Mantzoukas are also starring in the film alongside Yayan Ruhian, Cecep Arif Rahman, and Tiger Hu Chen. Unfortunately, Common, who stole the show in John Wick: Chapter 2, told us last year that he will be sitting this one out.

Once again written by Derek Kolstad with Chad Stahelski returning as director, John Wick 3: Parabellum is set to arrive May 17.

The world of John Wick will continue to expand as well beyond the third film with the spin-off TV series The Continental in the works at STARZ with acclaimed writer/producer Chris Collins (Sons of AnarchyThe Wire) executive producing; and with the spin-off feature film Ballerina, which follows a child assassin in the world of John Wick.

Charmed Season 1 Episode 19 Recap

Charmed Season 1 Episode 19 Recap

Charmed Season 1 Episode 19 Recap

In the previous episode of The CW’s Charmed, the Charmed Ones decided to use their new whitelighter, Tessa, to find Harry. In Charmed Season 1 Episode 19, Alistair used Charity to bring Hunter back from Tartarus.

The Origin Dagger

The Charmed Ones used Elder Bari’s needle and Macy’s Evil Sight to see what had happened with Fiona and the Sarcana. She had killed them one by one and forced Harry to do as she wanted using a magical shock collar. The sisters fed Tessa the information and planted Charity’s tracking ring on her. However, Tessa found the ring and ditched it.

Since Mel told Niko about magic, again, Niko wanted to get involved. She helped Mel track down where Tessa lived, and from there, Mel followed Tessa to Fiona. Fiona forced Harry to look for the Origin Dagger. She wanted to use it to destroy magic.

The sisters fought Fiona, whose magic was no match for the Power of Three. She killed Tessa and ran away, but the Charmed Ones were able to free Harry from her magical collar. The sisters and Harry realized that Fiona’s motives coincided with the prophecy about the Source. They realized that the Flame and the Source were the same thing. Witches and demons derived their magic from the same place, and it depended on the being whether they were good or evil.

Final Treatment

Charmed Season 1 Episode 19 Recap

Alistair had Charity pretend to turn herself in. Wearing a reflective suit he gave her, she killed the Elders who accompanied her to Tartarus. Charity walked in to Tarturus and freed Hunter.

Julia administered the final treatment for Parker. However, Hunter, shifted as Julia, injected him with demon blood instead. He made Parker think that he killed Julia, when Hunter actually strangled her himself. When Parker sought Maggie out, Hunter, shifted as Maggie, made Parker think that Maggie was scared of him. Without his mother and Maggie, Parker went to Alistair and agreed to take on the Source. Since Charity scried for Fiona, Alistair was able to find the Origin Dagger after Fiona and the Charmed Ones gave up looking. During a ritual, Alistair stabbed Parker in the heart with the dagger.

Magical Protection

Charmed Season 1 Episode 19 Recap

Niko confessed to Mel that she felt something had derailed her two years ago, and she suspected it was magic. Mel didn’t tell her about their history. However, she gave Niko a ring that would protect her from all magic, since Niko had been so curious.

While Galvin still didn’t want to have anything to do with magic, he couldn’t help getting involved when Julia went missing. Unfortunately, he disagreed with Macy about leaving Julia’s body where they found it. Macy wondered how they could continue working together, but he had solved that issue for her. Galvin was leaving to join Doctors Without Borders.

New Child’s Play Movie Poster Takes Aim at Toy Story 4

New Child's Play Movie Poster Takes Aim at Toy Story 4

New Child’s Play movie poster takes aim at Toy Story 4

Chucky’s not afraid of a little healthy (and bloody) competition as the new Child’s Play movie poster calls out Toy Story 4, which happens to be opening in theaters on the same day. Check out the full poster in the gallery below!

Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West) and Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) are headlining the new Child’s Play, under the helm of filmmaker Lars Klevberg (Polaroid). Tyler Burton Smith wrote the screenplay based on the 1988 film. In the reboot, Plaza stars as a mother who gives her son Andy, portrayed by Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out), a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. The new version of the killer doll won’t be a doll possessed by a serial killer but will be a defective Buddy doll whose programming code was hacked so that he has no limitations to learning and also violence.

RELATED: New Child’s Play Trailer: Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend

Additional cast includes Beatrice Kitsos (The Exorcist) and Ty Consiglio (Wonder) who will be playing the roles of Falyn and Pugg respectively, two friends of Andy Barclay in the new film which is currently shooting in Vancouver. Carlease Burke (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) will also star in the film. Mark Hamill (Star Wars) will take over from Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) as the voice of Chucky.

This will be a complete diversion from the original Child’s Play movie series created by Don Mancini, which featured Brad Dourif playing a serial killer who used voodoo to place his spirit in a ‘Good Guy Doll,’ which would become the Chucky we all know and love. Though Mancini and producer David Kirschner are currently working on making more Child’s Play movies, as well as a TV series, with Dourif still voicing Chucky, this new take on Child’s Play by MGM will essentially be a competing property, and Mancini and company will not be involved at all.

Child’s Play will toddle into theaters on June 21.

Director Patty Jenkins shares new Wonder Woman 1984 photo

Director Patty Jenkins has shared a new Wonder Woman 1984 photo celebrating star Gal Gadot’s birthday. You can check out the post and photo below!

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. As previously announced, the film stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal. Chris Pine also returns as Steve Trevor.

Producer Charles Roven recently commented that Wonder Woman 1984 isn’t a sequel, comparing it to standalone films such as Indiana Jones and James Bond:

“[Patty Jenkins] was just determined that this movie should be the next iteration of Wonder Woman but not a sequel. And she’s definitely delivering on that. It’s a completely different time frame and you’ll get a sense of what Diana-slash–Wonder Woman had been doing in the intervening years. But it’s a completely different story that we’re telling. Even though it’ll have a lot of the same emotional things, a lot of humor, a lot of brave action. Tugs at the heart strings as well.

Patty Jenkins (Wonder WomanMonster) returns to direct the sequel, while Jenkins, Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers.

Set to open in theaters June 5, 2020, Wonder Woman 1984 is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
