Welcome to ComingSoon.net’s look at all the top titles arriving this week on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. Check out the gallery viewer below for a look at the major new releases, catalogue films and television collections hitting shelves and/or VOD beginning Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

The week kicks off with the Eddie Murphy drama Mr. Church. The film sees Murphy as a cook who comes to live with a girl (Britt Robertson) and her dying mother. You can take a behind-the-scenes look at one of the Mr Church featurettes in the player below.

Other recent big screen releases include the indie comedy drama Captain Fantastic, starring Viggo Mortensen as a man who, with his wife, has raised a family in the woods, completely cut off from civilization. Somewhat similarly themed, October 25 sees the late Blu-ray arrival of Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople. The acclaimed comedy drama hit DVD earlier this year and, if you missed it, you can click here to watch the first ten minutes of the film.

October 25th also offers the supernatural horror thriller Lights Out, the well-received techno-thriller Nerve, starring Dave Franco and Emma Roberts, and Skiptrace, the action comedy that pairs Jackie Chan with Johnny Knoxville.

Hitting DVD only, then, is the Ernest Hemingway biopic Papa Hemingway in Cuba, starring Adrian Sparks and Giovanni Ribisi.

The week sees Drafthouse Films brings to Blu-ray and DVD Men and Chicken, the dark Danish comedy starring Hannibal, Doctor Strange and Rogue One‘s Mads Mikkelsen.

If you’re looking for a sizable holiday gift for a movie lover, you might want to check out Amazon’s exclusive Mad Max: High Octane Anthology. The set serves as a definitive take on George Miller’s post apocalyptic action franchise and debuts the black and white “Blood and Chrome” version of Mad Max: Fury Road. If the price tag has you worried, though, don’t fret. The “Blood and Chrome” edition is getting it’s own single release a little later this year.

The Film Detective has a restored take on the 1954 Frank Sinatra thriller Suddenly. Infamously connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the tale of a would-be political assassin was supposedly viewed by Lee Harvey Oswald the night before the Dallas shooting.

Cinelicious Pics, meanwhile, has a rare treat with the little-seen 1960 Leslie Stevens thriller Private Property. Warren Oates headlines as a violent thug.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the Martin Scorsese documentary, October 25 brings to Blu-ray the acclaimed rock/american history doc Bob Dylan: No Direction Home.

Shout Factory‘s Scream Factory has another impressive Collector’s Edition with a two-disc take on The Exorcist III. The definitive take on the franchise sequel offers both the original theatrical cut of the film as well as the Legion Director’s Cut, both flanked by significant bonus material.

Olive Films, meanwhile, expands their own special edition line of Blu-rays with Olive Signature editions of both John Ford’s The Quiet Man and Joseph Pevney’s Night of the Grizzly.

The Criterion Collection has a pair of new titles arriving October 25. Look for the 1963 Spanish black comedy rarity The Executioner as well as Tree of Wooden Clogs, the 1978 Palme d’Or winner about 19th century farmers.

When it comes to animated fare, the week delivers a new DVD-only re-issue of Disney‘s animated mid-quel Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, an animated Shopkins film and the animated episode collection Transformers Rescue Bots: Bots’ Battle For Justice.

An unusually quiet week for small-screen releases, October 25 brings home, to DVD only, the ninth season of History’s Ancient Aliens

On Digital HD, look for the Kevin Spacey as a cat comedy Nine Lives, the NFL documentary Gleason, and the second season of HBO‘s Dwayne Johnson series, Ballers.

You can check out cover art for all the October 25 releases in the gallery viewer below alongside a listing of each release’s special features (where applicable).
