Margot Robbie Talks Harley Quinn & Joker Break-Up in Birds of Prey

Margot Robbie talks Harley Quinn’s Break-Up with the Joker in Birds of Prey

If you’ve seen the Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn trailer, you’ll likely notice that the Joker is nowhere to be found. That’s because Quinn broke up with the guy, a plot point that figures quite heavily in the upcoming film. According to Margot Robbie, Quinn hasn’t gotten over Mr. J, she’s just simply trying to deal with it.

“She’s trying to own it,” Margot Robbie told Empire. “That felt like a real way to deal with a break-up. It’s not clean and easy to be a strong woman. It’s so hard. She’s a bit more Courtney Love than Debbie Harry this time. She says, ‘I’m single, I don’t need him, fuck that guy.’ But if the Joker were to text her, ‘You up?’ she’d run. She’d fall to pieces.”

It may be reading into this a little too much, but is it possible Robbie is leaving the door open for a possible Joker reunion sometime in the future?
