There are no plot details yet on the film, but it is set to be scripted from Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, best known for their work on the acclaimed Comedy Central series Broad City and the 2017 ensemble black comedy Rough Night, in which Aniello made her feature directorial debut.

In addition to a reunion between Lee and Hart, the film will also mark a reunion between the two and producer Will Packer. Packer has worked with the director on his past two films, Night School and Girls Trip, while having worked with Hart on seven films including the Think Like a Man and Ride Along films, as well as the 2014 remake of About Last Night, 2015’s The Wedding Ringer and Night School.

The 40-year-old actor/comedian is also attached to produce the project through his Hartbeat Productions banner alongside James Lopez and Packer through Will Packer Productions and Lee for his Blackmaled Productions banner. Aniello and Downs are attached to executive produce.
