Steinfeld — who stars as Kate Bishop in the series — recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight on her time with the show. When asked what some of her favorite scenes were, Steinfeld pointed out two specific scenes that she said will stick with her going forward.

“The car chase in episode 3… with Jeremy and myself, we had the absolute time of our lives,” Steinfeld said. “I had a moment where we shot the first take and I literally just was like, ‘Yeah, this is absolutely why I did this. This is being part of the MCU.’ It was just so amazing, because this show is so beautifully balanced with these grounded characters and these very human emotional conversations, and of course, in the perfect MCU fashion, the car chases and the wild stunts and fight sequences. That was one of the first moments I had where I felt like, I had been in this very character-driven world, and then we were thrown in the middle of this car chase, and it was just the most epic thing.”

As for the second scene, Steinfeld pointed to the return of Yelena Belova, the character played by Florence Pugh that initially debuted in Black Widow and showed up in Hawkeye with her eyes set on revenge against Hawkeye. “That was some of the most fun I’ve had working and Florence is incredible in that scene,” said Steinfeld. “That was really special, and fun to play through.”

In Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner reprised his iconic role as Clint Barton, with the story introducing his fan-favorite protégé Kate Bishop, portrayed by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.

“The series is set in a post-blip New York City, where former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas,” reads the official synopsis. “But when a threat from his past shows up, Hawkeye reluctantly teams up with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old skilled archer and his biggest fan, to unravel a criminal conspiracy.”

Hawkeye is led by head writer Jonathan Igla, with Amber Finlayson & Katie Ellwood, aka Bert and Bertie, and Rhys Thomas serving as directors.
