Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have revealed the first trailer for The Purge: Election Year, the third chapter in the “Purge” franchise coming to theaters on July 1, 2016. Check out The Purge: Election Year trailer below!

The new film features the return of Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Grey) as Sergeant, alongside Elizabeth Mitchell, Mykelti Williamson, Betty Gabriel, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Secor, Joseph Julian Soria and Liza Colón-Zayas. Grillo starred in the second film, The Purge: Anarchy, which earned $110.6 million on a budget of just $9 million in 2014.

“The Purge” series creator James DeMonaco is again writing and directing the new film. Jason Blum is producing with Sebastien Lemercier and Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller through their Platinum Dunes.
