Young Superman debuts in Supergirl photos

Back in November, it was revealed that a young Superman would be cast for an upcoming episode of Supergirl. What wasn’t clear was how this would work given the timeline of the series, but now we know how. The 13th episode of Supergirl will be based on the classic Alan Moore Superman story “For the Man Who Has Everything,” which sees Kara trapped in a hallucination where Krypton never blew up and where her cousin never became Superman. CBS has revealed two new photos from the episode and confirmed that Daniel DiMaggio will play the young Kal-El in the series. Check them out below!

“For the Girl Who Has Everything” is officially described as follows:

“Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Kara’s beloved cousin Kal-El joins her and her parents in domestic Kryptonian bliss, where neither of them needed to escape to Earth, or become super heroes. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission.”

Melissa Benoist leads the cast of Supergirl season one as the title character with a cast that also includes Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

“For the Girl Who Has Everything” is set to air on Monday, February 8 at 8 PM ET on CBS. If you missed an episode of Supergirl, or just need a refresher, be sure to check out our weekly recaps by clicking here.
