Roland Emmerich talks about the future of the Independence Day franchise

Following its big screen debut this past summer, Independence Day: Resurgence today comes home on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and also as a 4K Ultra HD edition. We got an early sneak peek at some of the home release’s new special features and then sat down with both Independence Day franchise director Roland Emmerich and VFX Supervisor Volker Engel. Emmerich says that the future of the Independence Day franchise has yet to be decided, but he confirms that bringing the story to the small screen may be one route it could take!
