WHIH News reporter Christine Everhart returns with a look at the fallout from the recent Avengers conflict in Sokovia
Marvel Studios today released a new WHIH News video, straight from the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself! As was the case with last year’s viral Ant-Man videos, this just released WHIH News report welcomes back MCU reporter Christine Everhart. Everhart, Marvel aficionados will recall, first appeared in 2008’sIron Man, played by Leslie Bibb. Bibb later reprised the role for a brief big screen appearance in 2010’sIron Man 2. Here, Bibb joins The Daily Show‘s Al Madrigal, who is playing a political correspondent by the name of Will Adams. They’re tackling a question at the heart of this summer’s Captain America: Civil War: is the good that the Avengers do worth the collateral damage that their actions cause? Check it out in the player below!
The official WHIH News Twitter feed also published an Earth Day tweet with another fun in universe nod:
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War will debut in theaters on May 6, 2016. It sounds like there may be more from WHIH news between now and then, so check back for additional updates as they become available.
