New Solo featurette shows Han behind enemy lines
A featurette for Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story has arrived with new footage from the second spin-off in the Star Wars franchise. Check out the new Solo featurette in the player below!
Solo: A Star Wars Story will follow a young Han Solo as he enters the dark criminal underworld and comes across his future co-pilot, the Wookie Chewbacca, and notorious gambler Lando Calrissian. He will also be joined by allies Qi’ra, with whom Solo grew up with and considers a partner in crime, as well as Tobias Beckett, who is Solo’s mentor, as they face off against a crime lord named Dryden Vos.
The film features Hail, Caesar‘s Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Atlanta‘s Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and The Force Awakens‘ Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson is playing Han’s mentor, a man by the name of Beckett, while Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke, Westworld‘s Thandie Newton, Avengers‘ Paul Bettany, and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge also star.
In the wake of the departure of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm hired director Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code) to take their place. Lord and Miller will retain a credit as executive producers.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is coming to theaters on May 25, 2018.
