Lionsgate has released the official trailer for their forthcoming crime thriller drama film titled The Gateway, which is scheduled to make its debut in select theaters, Apple TV+, and VOD on September 3. Its theatrical release will be followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on September 7. The Gateway trailer, which you can check out below, features a social worker as he gets too involved with one of his clients’ problems by trying to save them from the cartel.

The Gateway is a gritty crime thriller centering around Parker, a down on his luck social worker who finds himself in over his head when he tries to protect his client from her recently paroled husband. Can Parker save the family from the violent threat of the maniacal drug dealer and his crew, desperate to reclaim their priceless stash at any cost?
The film stars Shea Whigham (Joker), Olivia Munn (The Predator), Taryn Manning (8 Mile), Mark Boone Junior (Batman Begins), Taegen Burns (Dumplin’), Frank Grillo (Boss Level), and Bruce Dern (The Hateful Eight).

The Gateway is directed by Michele Civetta from a screenplay written by Alex Felix Bendaña and Andrew Levitas & Michele Civetta.
