20th Century Fox (via EW) has released two new Colossus photos from the highly-anticipated Deadpool which you can check out in the gallery below! In addition, the outlet has confirmed that Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic will provide the voice for the character, for whom stuntman Andre Tricoteux performed on the set, and the actor confirmed he used the character’s traditional Russian accent.

“Tim Miller’s idea of Colossus was to be bigger and stronger than everyone else,” Kapicic said. “So for the motion capture they needed an extremely tall man. I’m 6-foot-4, but he wanted Colossus to be over 7 feet, so they used a stunt double to recreate his height, and he did very good job there. Tim also wanted Colossus to sound as close as possible to the comic book character’s background, so he had me to come in, since my voice was what he envisioned for Colossus, who has an authentic Russian accent. My character’s voice gives him the past history as Piotr Rasputin once you hear him speak. This made him the most authentic to the original idea of the comic book character.”

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. Reynolds has also expressed a desire that Hugh Jackman might cameo as Wolverine, though it remains unconfirmed as to whether or not he will actually appear.

Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Confirmed to be rated RDeadpool is scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.

Earlier this year we had the opportunity to chat with Reynolds on the Vancouver set of the film. If you haven’t already had a chance, check out our Deadpool set visit report.
