A Quiet Place star and filmmaker John Krasinski took to Twitter to reveal a brand new photo from Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming animated DC League of Super-Pets, confirming that he will officially be lending his voice to Superman. The superhero comedy is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 20, 2022.
The DC League of Super-Pets photo, which you can check out below, features Krasinski’s animated version of the Man of Steel as he soars the sky with Dwayne Johnson’s Krypto the Superdog.

DC League of Super-Pets will be led by Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson as Krypto the Superdog, and Kevin Hart (The Secret Life of Pets) as Ace the Bathound, the crime-fighting canine partner to Batman and Robin.
Further plot and character details about the animated film are still being kept under wraps, but this project marks the first time Superman’s beloved canine companion will be appearing in a feature. Before the upcoming film, Krypto the Superdog first starred in his own animated television series which ran for 39 episodes between 2005-2006, centering on the adventures of the Kryptonian dog and his friends.
The voice cast will also feature John Krasinski (A Quiet Place) as Clark Kent/Superman; Diego Luna (Andor) as Chip, Green Lantern’s squirrel; Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) as Merton, The Flash’s turtle; Vanessa Byer (Saturday Night Live) as PB, Wonder Woman’s pig, and Marc Maron as Lex Luthor along with Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), Keanu Reeves (John Wick films), and Jameela Jamil in undisclosed roles.

Based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film is being directed by Jared Stern (The Lego Batman Movie) and Sam Levine (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero) from a screenplay written by Stern and John Whittington (The Lego Ninjago Movie).
DC League of Super-Pets will be produced by by Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia through their Seven Buck Productions banner along with Sterna and Patricia Hicks. Executive producers are John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller.
