It’s no secret that the folks behind the Mortal Kombat series would love to see some of Keanu Reeves’ more iconic characters in the series. If it were up to the actor, though, he wouldn’t have them involved at all.

Speaking with Esquire, Reeves was asked if he would like to see either John Wick or Neo enter the world of Mortal Kombat. Reeves was quick to say he wouldn’t but didn’t offer up any reason why beyond that both sides were doing their own thing.
“If it was up to me? No,” Reeves said of a potential crossover appearance. “Mortal Kombat is awesome in so many ways. But I think, you know, Neo, John Wick… yeah man, they’re doing their own thing. Mortal Kombat‘s doing their own thing.”
Previously, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon said that he would love to see both Neo and John Wick in the game. Boon would also go on to say that Neo almost made an appearance in Injustice 2, but that things “fell through” at some point.
