Pretty Little Liars is getting another life as an international remake. The teen drama will be the basis for a Bali-set Asian remake after Warner Bros. struck a deal with the digital streaming service Viu.

According to Deadline, the remake will follow the footsteps of the original, centering on a group of four estranged undergrads whose little clique had fallen apart when their former leader went missing. After rejoining, the girls then begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure known as ‘A,’ who threatens to expose their darkest secrets.

The remake will be localized in Bahasa and filmed in Bali as part of the Indonesian and Malaysian adaptation. Set in the fictional town of Amerta, the series will be directed by The Night Bus filmmaker Emil Heradi. Anya Geraldine stars as Hanna, Eyka Farhana as Ema, Valerie Thomas as Sabrina, Shindy Huang as Aria, and Yuki Kato as Alissa.

The series was produced by Alloy Entertainment, Gaslight Productions and Russian Hill Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television, and was executive produced by I.
