The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 First-Look Photos Sets Fall Return Date

Netflix has finally set the release date for the highly-anticipated second season of Rachel Shukert’s popular teen dramedy The Baby-Sitters Club, based on the iconic children’s novels. The series is scheduled to make its return on Monday, October 11, with eight new episodes.

“In Season 2, we really get to see a maturation of the club, and of the girls,” Shukert said in a statement. “There are two new members, they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people. We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow all young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of the things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places. I’m so excited for everyone to be back in Stoneybrook and back in business!”

The date announcement also comes with the release of The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2 photos, providing us our first glimpse at what to expect in the new season as well as our first look at the introduction of newcomer Kyndra Sanchez as she takes over the role of Dawn Schafer from Xochitl Gomez.

Netflix’s newest series adaptation of The Baby-Sitters Club is based on Ann M. Martin’s best-selling book series that centers around the friendship and adventures of Kristy Thomas, Mary-Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer as the middle-schoolers start their babysitting business in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut.

“In Season 2, as demand for their club continues to grow, founders Kristy Thomas, Mary-Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer have now welcomed Mallory Pike and Jessi Ramsey to their ranks,” reads the synopsis. “With the new school year comes booming business, new relationships, personal journeys, and important lessons, but through it all the club is there for each other every step of the way.”

The series is being led by Sophia Grace, Malia Baker, Momona Tamada, Stacey McGill, and Kyndra Sanchez, who replaces Xochitl Gomez for the role of Dawn. Joining them are Vivian Watson, Anais Lee, Alicia Silverstone, Mark Feuerstein. and Marc Evan Jackson.

Following the second season renewal, Gomez had to give up her leading role due to scheduling conflicts caused by her major casting as America Chavez in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
