Netflix has released the full Fear Street Part 1: 1994 trailer for the first installment of the highly-anticipated summer movie event, which is based on R.L. Stine’s hit YA horror novel series of the same name. Starring Kiana Madeira, Olivia Scott Welch, and Maya Hawke, the Fear Street trilogy officially kicks off this Friday, July 2.
The video, which you can check out below, begins with the townspeople of Shadyside dealing with the aftermath of a mall massacre. Because of this, a dark urban legend reemerges as a group of teenagers investigate how this is connected with the most recent Shadyside tragedy.

Fear Street Part 1: 1994 – In the aftermath of a brutal tragedy in Shadyside, Ohio, a circle of teenage friends accidentally encounter the ancient evil responsible for a series of brutal murders that have plagued their town for over 300 years. Written by Leigh Janiak and Phil Graziadei, the first part stars Kiana Madeira, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Julia Rehwald, Fred Hechinger, Ashley Zukerman, Maya Hawke, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Jordana Spiro, and Jordyn Dinatale.
