The three actors will join Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Tosin Cole, Karen Obilom, and DC Young Fly among others on the film that is set to stream on HBO Max’s platform.
Calmatic (known primarily for his career as a music video director) will be directing the film as his directorial debut, with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s The SpringHill Company set to produce the film.

The original House Party focused on two best friends and their efforts to throw the party of the year, and the many hijinks that ensued. Things like bullies, parents, girls, the police, and much more all played a role in giving the pair obstacles. The new take on the film has no plot information as of yet, but likely won’t deviate from the original’s premise too much. The new film is set to be written by Atlanta writing duo Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori, with Reginald Hudlin set to executive produce the film alongside Spencer Beighley and Jamal Henderson of SpringHill.
