The film, which was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and produced by Dark Castle Entertainment, featured Neeson’s character, Martin Harris, losing his memory after a car accident and woke up to find that his identity had been taken, and a mysterious group of assassins were after him.

Collet-Serra is attached to direct and executive produce the series as well, but the series won’t be featuring Neeson’s character. Instead, it’ll pick up after the events of the film, and will follow a new lead character that’s thrust into their own mind-bending adventure full of twists and turns. Sean Finegan (Free Fall) will write the pilot and also serve as executive producer.

Karl Gajdusek (Stranger Things) and Speed Weed (Arrow) will serve as executive producers and showrunners. Ethan Erwin, Alex Mac, and Hal Sadoff of Dark Castle Entertainment are also attached as executive producers, along with Erik Olsen (The Dirt) and the Oscar-nominated Neeson (Schindler’s List, Taken films).

Neeson can currently be seen in the adventure drama thriller The Ice Road, written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh and streaming on Netflix.
